PoleFit Core classes at Studio Verve Dance Fitness, Sydney, Australia
PoleFit® Core & Flexibility - 8 weeks - $180
Designed to increase strength, stability and flexibility; this course will enhance your pole dancing training with specific exercises that can be practised just about anywhere! PoleFit® Core can be taken as an 8 or 4 week program involving a one hour lesson per week (4 week course cost $100).

PoleFit® Mini Course - $120
This Mini Pole Dancing program is a great lead in course for our Beginner's PoleFit® level 1 program. In as little as 4 weeks students can experience the physical benefits gained through regularly attending one lesson per week! This course covers basic hand grips, spins and conditioning, concluding nicely with a mini routine.

Strengthening exercises to help improve your Pole Skills
The old fashioned 'push up' is a great way to improve your overall core strength - if done correctly! We love this exercise because it can be practiced at home or just about anywhere - no pole required for this one. Click on the following link to view four Push Up Variations to suit any level. Start with 8 to 10 'push ups', have a little rest and attempt another 2 sets. Challenge yourself by building reps up on a weekly basis.

Studio Verve Director, Jennifer Critelli, speaks to journalist Fiona Marsden about pole dancing for fitness, it's many benefits and and why women are giving up their gym memberships to undertake this formerly controversial form of activity. Think it's only for young twenty some things - think again. Student ages range from 15 years right through to ladies in their forties and fifties. Regular pole dancing classes will improve posture, tone and tighten muscles and increase core strength.

Pole dancing not only improves core strength (working from the inside out) but has a range of other benefits. As we age our bones become thinner and weaker. In some cases, a decrease in bone density can lead to osteoporosis. Beginner's Samba Workshop
Listen to sultry Samba beats and learn to shake it like a Brazilian Goddess in this 90 minute workshop. Students will be led through basic foot movements moving forwards and backwards, side to side and in a circular motion, then a combination of arm and hip movements, finishing with a mini samba routine.
